Assateague Island and Chincoteague Island – Maryland and Virginia

Fun trip! We camped on the beach at Assateague Island National Seashore, where some of the tents blew away (some of the tents ALWAYS blow away). On Saturday, we drove down to Chincoteague Island in Virginia, where we went in the museum to visit Misty, hiked to and climbed the lighthouse, saw some interesting birds at the nature center, and spotted a bunch of wild horses on a hike through the backwater marshes. Then it was back to Maryland for dinner and more horses.

Sunday, horses came right through camp and we headed back to Jersey.
