In March, Troop 48 headed out into the pygmy pines to Halgas Scout Reservation!  No toilets, no water pump, no fire ring, just a big area of scrub pines out in the middle of no where.

Our four patrols went headto-head to see who could best survive the weekend!

They lashed together camp gadgets to make their stay more comfortable.

They built shelters to stay out of the elements.

And they enjoyed a beautiful weekend in the wilderness of South Jersey.

On the way home, we stopped at the nearby Brickbrae terrarra cotta factory, which has been abandoned for over 100 years.  The Scouts had a good time exploring the ruins.
