Troop 48 had a great time camping on Lake Champlain in Vermont for week! We explored the battlefield at Saratoga, stopped at the Bigfoot Sanctuary, learned about life during the French & Indian War from some reenactors, saw how ice cream was made at Ben & Jerry’s, swam in Lake Champlain, climbed Mt Ellen (the third highest mountain in the state), swam in a swimming hole with a waterfall falling into it, explored Fort Ticonderoga, kayaked six miles of the Lamoille River, checked out the Maritime Museum, and conquered giant “creamies”. It was quite the week!
