Great weekend at Rodney! We stayed in the Wilderness Cabin for two nights (and it went down to 17 degrees, so were happy to have it!).
Saturday, Troop 48 went on a hike in Elk Neck State Park on the Beaver Marsh Trail, then took part in a scavenger hunt in camp, which Eagle Patrol won!
Later that night, we cooked dinner by a beautiful sunset, caught a glimpse of the International Space Station, and had a few rounds of Risk and the Weird NJ game.
On our way home on Sunday, we stopped at the Conowingo Dam on the Susquehanna River. Sadly, we didn’t spot any bald eagles (on the right winter day, you can spot a hundred at a time fishing by the dam), but it was pretty impressive nonetheless.
Next trip – Wilderness Survival at Halgas Scout Camp!
