With the Klondike Derby pushed back, that has opened a service opportunity for the Troop. On Saturday, January 15th from 10 AM until Noon, the South Jersey Land and Water Trust will be hosting a trash pickup/invasive species removal at Lake Worth County Park in Lindenwold, NJ. We’ve had many Scouts participate in these cleanups over the last decade or so, it’s a great way to help a park only five minutes from “the shed”.

Several of our Scouts need either service hours or environmental service hours for their rank requirements, and for those that don’t we always have the Scout slogan, “Do a good turn daily.”

An RSVP is required ahead of time, please contact Mike Hogan:

RSVP: Contact Michael Hogan at [email protected] or 609-476-2086 to RSVP and/or if you have any questions
Adults are welcome to volunteer to help as well, but Scouts can also be dropped off (please check in with Mike Hogan when you get there, I believe there is a waiver that must be signed for minors). I will be there with my 9 and 7 year old to help out.

Please let Mike know if your Scout registers for the cleanup!
