Friendly reminder that we’re helping A LOT of people this Saturday, May 26th!

6 AM to 8 AM – Holy Communion Lutheran Church Yard Sale – the church does so much to support Troop 48, and they need help Saturday with moving their yard sale items out of the building and into the parking lot, with setting up canopies, and other odd jobs with their yard sale.  All help at 6 AM is MUCH appreciated by the Troop and the church.    If your son can help with this, please contact Paul Pascu – [email protected]

All Scouts and adults who help out starting at 6 AM yard sale will be treated to breakfast!

9 AM to 10:15 or so – Flag Placement – Berlin Cemetery – White Horse Road, Berlin, NJ – We’ll be meeting at the Berlin Cemetery (40 Clementon Rd, Berlin, NJ 08009) at 9 AM to help the VFW place flags on the graves of over 2000 veterans buried there.  Scouts, please wear your “Class A” tan Boy Scout uniforms to this event with nice pants (no jeans please).  Scouts, if you don’t have a tan uniform yet, please check at the shed on Wednesday in case we have extra, or please wear nice pants and a nice shirt. Friends, family, siblings, alumni, neighbors, Girl Scouts and other Boy Scouts, co-workers, and everyone else are invited and encouraged to attend and participate this event.

10:30 or so until 1115 or so – Flag Retirement Ceremony – Berlin VFW (34 Chestnut Ave, Berlin, NJ) – Right after the flag placement, we’ll head over to the Berlin VFW where Troop 48 will be running a flag retirement ceremony for the VFW starting around 10:30 AM.  As before, Scouts, please wear your “Class A” tan Boy Scout uniforms to this event with nice pants (no jeans please).  Scouts, if you don’t have a tan uniform yet, please check at the shed on Wednesday in case we have extra, or please wear nice pants and a nice shirt.  Friends, family, siblings, neighbors, Girl Scouts and other Boy Scouts, alumni, o-workers, and everyone else are invited and encouraged to attend and participate this event.

After flag retirement – Cook Out! the VFW will be having a hot dog cookout to thank all the volunteers who helped out!
